Paradox Pieces
“Only the paradox comes anywhere near to comprehending the fullness of life.” - Carl Jung

Paradox Pieces explore the process of holding conflicting truths at the same time. Each piece is made from two deconstructed paintings sewn delicately together to float in a new evolved space.

Cassidy C. Cole’s abstract paintings delve into the fluid, ever-changing nature of interactions, whether between materials, forms, or emotions. Her practice within this series explores how relationships shift and transform when a single element is introduced, altered, or removed, with each change influencing the entire composition. Through layered mediums, Cole captures the complexity of these dynamic exchanges, aiming to create a visual balance where every component is vital to the whole. In this body of work, no one element dominates; instead, they coexist in harmony, emphasizing the interconnectedness and mutual influence of all parts.

Thoughts on the Afterlife
“Two things fill the mind with ever-increasing wonder and awe, the more often and the more intensely the mind of thought is drawn to them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me.” -Immanuel Kant
